Commercial Lead (Procurement, Contracts, Supplier Management) - Manchester (hybrid - 2 days a week onsite)
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Lead to join a leading organisation.
This role will play a crucial part in managing commercial activities, including contract and supplier management, procurement, and performance monitoring.
The successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of contracts exceeding £10m in value, ensuring the delivery of contracted services aligns with the organisation’s strategy and objectives.
As Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for managing multi-disciplined teams, both internally and externally, and working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure services are delivered effectively and offer value for money.
This is a leadership position that requires strong commercial management experience and exceptional negotiation skills to manage large suppliers and complex contracts.
We are looking for candidates who ideally have:
· Degree or significant relevant experience in commercial management.
· Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualification.
· · Proven experience in commercial management, contract and supplier management, and procurement.
· Experience managing contract portfolios with values exceeding £10m.
· Significant experience in performance management of multi-supplier environments.
· Strong background in budget management, value for money, and cost minimisation.
· Experience managing multi-disciplined teams, including suppliers, and aligning their performance with organisational strategy.
· Experience writing business cases, tender documents, and participating in the tender process.
· Experience conducting formal service reviews and performance monitoring.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to allocate resources, motivate teams, and delegate responsibilities effectively are a must have.
