We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead and inspire a team of software engineers, driving the delivery of secure, scalable and high-performing trading websites.
In this role, you will:
- Build, lead and motivate a high-performing development team, providing mentoring and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee the delivery of new features, enhancements and bug fixes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Define and maintain the technical vision and roadmap for our e-commerce platforms, working closely with architects, UX, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Champion software engineering best practice, Agile delivery, and secure development standards.
- Ensure system availability, performance, resilience and compliance with UK regulations including GDPR and PCI-DSS.
- 10+ years in software development, including at least 3 years in an e-commerce software development management role.
- Proven experience delivering secure, high-traffic retail websites in a UK online multi-category retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms, APIs, custom development and SaaS integrations.
- Skilled in Agile and sequential delivery models, with experience of delivering complex digital projects in legacy environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with digital marketing, merchandising and content management tools.
- Knowledge of payment service provider integrations, cross-platform mobile tools and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with offshore delivery teams.
