Senior Front-End Software Engineer – E-Commerce
Location: West Yorkshire
Hybrid, 2 days a week in the office
Salary: £50,000-£62,000 + bonus and excellent benefits
  
We are looking for a Senior Front-End Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimise high-performance B2C websites and shopping apps that enhance customer experience and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and responsive web pages using HTML5, CSS, jQuery, and Microsoft ASP.
  • Build and optimise cross-platform shopping apps using Apache Cordova and Ionic.
  • Enhance front-end performance, ensuring fast load times, smooth interactions, and accessibility compliance.
  • Work closely with UX designers, back-end developers, and digital teams to integrate front-end solutions with marketing data layers for advanced analytics and A/B testing.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to integrate CI/CD pipelines and monitor front-end performance using New Relic.
  • Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies and E-Commerce trends.
  
What We’re Looking For:
  • Extensive experience in software development, including in a front-end role.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining high-traffic E-Commerce websites.
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, and integration with Microsoft ASP/.NET.
  • Experience in performance optimisation (lazy loading, code splitting, caching) and familiarity with web performance metrics (FCP, LCP, CLS).
  • Strong understanding of front-end security best practices (CSRF, XSS, CORS).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and mobile frameworks (Apache Cordova, Ionic).
  
Desirable:
  • Experience with SEO, digital advertising (Google Marketing Platform), and social media marketing 
  • Knowledge of digital merchandising 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Selenium).
