MuleSoft Developer
Contract Length: 6 months initial
Location: UK based - 100% Remote
About the Role
Exalto Consulting is looking for an experienced MuleSoft Developer to help deliver high‑quality integration solutions within a regulated enterprise environment. This role will be central to designing and building APIs and system integrations that support secure, scalable, and well‑governed engineering practices.
You will join a collaborative team where your work will directly contribute to improving how systems communicate and how reliably data flows across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver APIs and integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Create and maintain RAML specifications and RESTful APIs
- Use DataWeave for data mapping and transformation
- Configure and manage MuleSoft connectors for a range of enterprise systems
- Deliver secure, scalable integrations aligned with established engineering and governance standards
- Work with messaging technologies such as JMS and AMQP
- Partner with architects, product owners, and cross‑functional teams to turn business needs into technical solutions
- Support CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
- Diagnose integration issues and optimise performance
- Contribute to DevOps and release processes within defined governance frameworks
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience working with RAML, DataWeave, and MuleSoft connectors
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP, JSON, and XML
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git
- Good knowledge of integration patterns and messaging protocols (JMS, AMQP)
- Strong problem‑solving approach and analytical capability
- Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning
- Experience in enterprise or regulated environments is beneficial
Preferred Qualifications
- MuleSoft Developer Certification
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated sectors
- Familiarity with Agile delivery practices
