My Yorkshire based client is looking to recruit an experienced Technical Support Engineer to provide a first class support function to end users across multiple sites.
Working in a small team, the IT Support Technician will:
- Operate and manage the IT Helpdesk, triaging incoming tickets, undertaking diagnosis and resolution in line with predefined SLA’s, escalating where appropriate.
- Provide a comprehensive second line support across hardware, software, networking and system access.
- Undertake hardware and software installation and maintenance.
- Undertake proactive maintenance and updates in order to mitigate risk.
- Undertake accurate documentation for IT processes, system configuration and user guides.
- Develop and update the knowledge base.
- Undertake continuous improvement, staying current with the latest technology trends and best practices.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new starters.
- Provide project support for major IT projects, taking ownership of assigned tasks ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Take an interest in the learning and support of Business systems and Data – specifically SQL, Reporting and Enterprise applications.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Server 2016 onwards
- Office 365 applications,
- Microsoft InTune
- Active Directory, Group Policies
- Hyper-V
- Backup technologies – ideally Veeam)
- IP Telephony (Avaya / RingCentral).
- Understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Experience in managing wireless networks (Unifi)
- Wide Area Networking using SonicWall Firewalls
- Mimecast Security Solutions
- Dell Server Hardware
- HP Storage Area Networks (SAN)
- Artificial Intelligence – Co-Pilot
- SQL Server
- Power BI
This role will necessitate a current driving licence and a willingness to travel throughout the UK as required
