Data plays a central role in the organisation we are recruiting for, and they have had continued investment in their data and analytics function, which means they are now looking for a Data Scientist to join their team.
This role spans the full lifecycle of data management and analytics. You will work closely with colleagues and external partners to deliver performance insights, optimise operational strategies and support continuous improvement.
Your work will help them maximise the value they deliver to clients and strengthen their decision‑making across the business.
We are looking for someone hands‑on, curious, and comfortable solving complex problems. You will bring strong analytical capability, experience with A/B testing and machine learning models, and the ability to explain technical ideas clearly.
Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you will join a supportive, fast‑moving team where your contribution will help shape the future direction of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion data accuracy and quality, using relationships with third‑party providers to improve and enhance data portfolios.
- Provide insight into client portfolios and help identify trends across the business.
- Create and maintain bespoke machine learning / ML models for internal and client-facing use cases.
- Lead and manage strategies to improve the performance of existing contact strategies.
- Work closely with operational leaders to help maximise contact centre resources and deliver strong client outcomes, leading projects from inception to completion.
- Support and mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- 5+ years’ experience in an analytical role.
- Experience identifying performance trends and building machine learning / ML models that support operational strategies.
- Proficient in Python, SQL and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and confidently.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and a structured approach to analysis.
- Effective time management and the ability to balance multiple projects.
- A bachelor’s degree in a numerical subject (such as Mathematics or Statistics) or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of Python and/or R beyond standard usage.
