Data Curator, Data Wrangler, 100% remote, outside IR35, £400 per day, 12 months

Exalto Consulting are currently recruiting for a contract Data Curator this is outside IR35 on a 12 month contract basis working 100% remote

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • 3+ years of experience in data management, data curation, wrangling and modeling with a focus on genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, image metadata, and image analysis readout data.
  • Strong programming skills, with experience in Python (preferred) or R.
  • Experience working well a matrix organization and in cross-functional teams, including business data owners, stewards, and technical product development staff to successfully deliver projects.
  • Understanding of the FAIR data principles.
  • Having open, growth mindsets with agility and integrity
Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working with metadata, controlled vocabularies, and ontologies.
  • Experience with structured and unstructured data, and database systems such as HDFS, SQL, and noSQL.
  • Experience working across multiple scientific compute environments to create data workflows and pipelines, such as HPC, cloud, and Unix/Linux systems.
  • A strong curiosity for data science, biology, digital pathology, and new data types.
