About the role

Exalto Consulting is supporting a time-critical programme focused on Day-1 readiness. We are looking for experienced Business Analysts who can help turn high-level goals into clear, practical outputs that delivery teams can rely on.

This role sits at the centre of delivery. You’ll work across multiple areas including Service Desks, Tech Hubs, EUC, Print and wider IT Services, helping ensure that what is designed can be delivered, tested and used effectively from day one.

This is not a role for a generic Business Analyst. We’re looking for someone who understands how core IT services operate in practice and can work confidently across these environments.

What you’ll be doing
  • Planning and driving the Day-1 user experience backlog
  • Working across teams and suppliers to keep delivery aligned and on track
  • Identifying and managing risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
  • Supporting delivery teams with clear, structured and usable requirements
  • Working closely with architects, delivery managers, and operational teams to ensure readiness
What you’ll deliver

Clear, testable requirements and user stories
Translating Day-1 goals into practical, prioritised outputs that teams can build and test against.

Pragmatic “to-be” processes
Designing processes that support immediate operations without unnecessary complexity.

Dependency and risk visibility
Documenting and managing dependencies, risks, and assumptions to support informed decision-making.

Implementation-ready requirements
Producing structured outputs that enable efficient delivery, testing, and assurance.

What we’re looking for
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst across Service Desks, Tech Hubs, EUC, or Print services
  • Strong ability to translate high-level ideas into clear, delivery-ready requirements
  • Proven experience managing dependencies, risks and delivery across multiple workstreams
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments where not everything is fully defined
  • A practical approach - able to produce “good enough” outputs that support progress without over-engineering
  • Experience working alongside technical teams, architects and operational stakeholders
  • Experience with ServiceNow is desirable, particularly within ITSM or service-focused environments
Why this work matters

Day-1 is where plans meet reality. The quality of the analysis and preparation directly shapes how smoothly services go live, how teams operate and how users experience change.

This role offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to that outcome - helping ensure that delivery is grounded, joined-up and ready when it matters.

If you’re available immediately and bring relevant experience across core IT services, we’d welcome a conversation.
